Understanding the World Nursery Long term plan 2021-23
Welcome to our wonderful Nursery
Spring 1
Our story this week was The Tiger Who Came to Tea and our number focus was the number 3. Look at all of the fun we have had in class, including; sandwich making for a tiger picnic, colour mixing to create orange to paint our own tiger pictures, subitising number 3 and mark making in our outdoor area.
We have enjoyed reading the story of 'The Very Hungry Caterpillar' this week as part of our topic. We sorted the foods that the caterpillar ate into healthy and unhealthy categories. We enjoyed making story maps, using our math knowledge to count the different foods, making healthy fruit smoothies for snack and so may more wonderful activities in our continuous provision.
We enjoyed the story Oliver's Vegetables this week and created our own little greenhouses to grow our own beans. We are looking forward to seeing how much these grow! One of our favourite parts of the story was when Oliver made chips at the end of the story so we decided to make our own chips for snack time. We used the knives safely and enjoyed some delicious homemade chips. Look at all of the other exciting things we have done this week!
