Class 2 had a very energetic morning with Caine Winters from Chance Camp. Lots of running, jumping, dodging and throwing to help build up some essential skills for playing all sorts of different sports. Well done class 2, 100% effort put in! ��
After a busy half term learning all about healthy lifestyles in Science, from exercise to teeth brushing to healthy eating, Class 2 are now thinking about the importance of eating a rainbow. We created a stunning fruit rainbow and then made tasty mini fruit kebabs.
Next the children are researching, designing and making a healthy breakfast pot.

To link with our English work, writing descriptions of dinosaurs, Class 2 have demonstrated their understanding of food chains by creating Dinosaur Food Chains.
Observing Seasonal Changes
Class 2 are observing the seasonal changes in our school grounds. The children identified that it was autumn, explaining that they could tell it was autumn as the leaves on this tree were turning orange/brown and falling to the ground. Some of the year 2 children could even explain how they knew this was a deciduous tree.
We will return to make more observations of this tree in a few weeks.
Water Workshop by United Utilities
Class 2 had a great Water Workshop led by Louise from United Utilities. They thought about the many uses of water, how we can save water, where the water in our taps comes from and carried out an investigation to find out what is safe to be flushed down the toilet!
