A sad farewell to Queen Elizabeth II

The Queen's Platinum Jubilee
Celebrating the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee - we throughly enjoyed our Jubilee Party lunch to celebrate this momentous occasion. Our Queen has served our country and Chruch of England for 70 years and we respect what she has given our country. Please see our video on the whole school pages of the website.

Thursday 1st February - St Bridget's Day
We celebrated St Bridget’s Day on Thursday 1st February. After hearing St Bridget was the patron saint of farmers, and others, the school council decided to organise a fund raiser to support struggling farmers. The Oxfam gifting website was explored - the children decided to raise money to buy a goat and a pig. It was decided to hold a non uniform day (charge a £1) as well organise a cake stall. The junior school councillors baked at least 12 cup cakes each plus some kind parents baked too. We raised nearly £170 so we think we can at least afford a couple of pigs and goats. Thank you so much to everyone who supported this venture.
This venture enabled us all to begin to understand and appreciate the needsof those less fortunate than ourselves.
Class 4 helpers fulfilling the value of Mutual Respect as they help out younger pupils in school learn the skills that will help them play a game of tennis. Thank you so much - your patience and understanding with these much younger pupils was amazing and a pleasure to watch (from Mrs Taylor)
During our whole school Safety Week, we learnt the rules of Road Safety. We then put these into place by crossing the road with a teacher helping us along the way. By practicing this British Value (Rule of the Law) we learnt to cross the road outside our school with care.
